Ok, in this review of SEO Link vine, I will be sharing a whole lot of information with you. I asked you to be patient with me as this review could get pretty long. So, grab a cup of coffee or a glass of water and enjoy.

For purposes of this review I will be talking about the latest review blog I did ( www.ViralSubmitterPros.com, yeah… the one I got “sandboxed” by Google) I will explain how I built 1894 back links in 30 days and I will tell you why Google simply “erased” my new domain from the Word Wide Web Cyberspace and even though this is just a temporary setback, it hurt when it happened to me.

But my loss is your gain…. I will be telling you in this review what NOT TO DO so you don’t suffer like I did.

At this point you might be asking yourself: How did I build 1894 back links and why?

Let’s answer the “why question” first:

As you probably know there are two ways of optimizing a website in order to ranks #1 in Google:

On page optimization (Choosing the right keywords, putting your Page Title the right way, using the right meta tags, LSI keywords, etc) This is an endless subject, if you don’t know how to do this, Check George Brown’s Google Sniper System.

Off page optimization (Basically building a lot of back links to your site the right way.)

Now, regarding how I built 1894 backlinks: I paid a guy from india to manually submit my site to 1997 website directories (I found this guy in the Warrior Forum), I bookmarked my website using BookMarking Demon and I did a lot of manual blog commenting.

So, in my quest for dominating the Keyword: Viral Submitter Pro Review, I thought that I could beat a couple of guys who also were on Google’s first page by building more back links than what they had.

Little did I know, that you can not go “BacklInking KAMAKAZI” or you will get “Sandboxed.”

Ok, so far I’ve mentioned the word “Sandbox” three times. Just in case you don’t know what it is…

It’s when you go from being on the first page of Google’s organic results to nowhere to be found in Google.

What contributed to my website being “sanboxed”?

Well, after I was sanboxed, I started doing some research and I found out that I was building too many backlinks too fast and more importantly… a lot of those back links were from website directories.

As I general rule I found that it’s recommended not to build more than 500 links in a month specially if you have a brand new domain.

I advise you is to tray to stay away from Website Directories. You see, Google knows what kind of websites link back to you and having too many backlinks from website directories might backfire on you because Google knows that you are trying to manipulate the search engines. Having too many back links from website directories will make your website growth to look un-natural to Google.

The other big factor that contributed to Google sandboxing my website was that my domain was too new. You see, I bought this domain a little bit over 30 days ago and for a new domain to gain 1894 new links is just not natural (if I only knew that 30 days ago.)

So, what is the most effective and proper way of building backlinks?

There are many ways of building backlinks out there but I think the quickest and most effective way of doing it is thru blog commenting. That’s right!…Search engines love blogs and they get indexed faster that any other website out there. Google loves fresh, new content and whenever a blog is being updated with new content, Google tries to get it indexed as soon as possible.

Another way of getting good quality links is through article marketing.

The nice thing about article marketing is that you can put your anchor text in the resource box how ever you want. When you do blog commenting, your name becomes your “anchor text” (see picture below)…This does not hurt you in any way but it does not help you either. Keep in mind that using your websites main keyword for anchor text is way more effective than using your name but… and here comes the but… a lot of blog owners will not let you use your main website keyword as your name because they say you are trying to “Spam” the blog:

In the above blog comment you can see how my name became my “Anchor Text”… again having my name as anchor text will not hurt my ranking but it will not help it as if I was using a keyword as the “Anchor Text”

Another thing to consider when building backlinks, is that you don’t want to use “Anchor Text” or clickable text all the time.

Think about it… how does normal people usually link to a website?

Do you think they use HTML anchor text or do you think they simply type in the domain URL?

Do you think normal people would remember the HTML code to create a clickable link or do you think they would type in a plain URL instead?

I even have a hard time remembering the HTML code to create “Anchor Text.”

The best way to build your links is by mixing the way you link back to your site.

This is what I mean: You might want to use your main keyword in “Anchor Text” 50% of the time you create a back link to your site, use a variation of your main keyword 30% of the times and finally, use just a plain url ( http://www.ViralSubmitterPros.com ) the other 20% just like normal people would.

In the screen shot below you can see how I used the main keyword of my site ( Viral Submitter Pro Review) in the author resource box and I also used just a plain URL to look natural to Google.

What are the flaws of “conventional” Article Marketing?

At this point you might be saying: “So is article marketing good or bad to build good quality backlinks?”

To answer your question: Yes!, article marketing is good but the conventional way of doing it has it’s flaws… please allow me to explain.

Let’s go back to my www.ViralSubmitterPros.com website example and let me share with you what I did for my “Conventional Article Marketing” link building campaign.

This is what I did: I wrote two articles with 500 words, then I “spun them” (created 1,000 new variations of each article) by using an article rewriter software, then I submitted an unique version of each article to 495 article directory sites. So, I had a total of 990 submitted for my new blog.

Out of the 990 articles that were submitted, I only got a total of 21 email confirmations telling me that my article was accepted. The rest of the article directories did not send me a confirmation so there is no way of me knowing exactly how many articles were successfully posted. By using this example, I can calculate my articles acceptance ratio as being only 2.12% (I don’t know about you what I think this number is kind of low.)

Another problem with “conventional” Article Marketing is that the links you are allow to place in the resource box are too far away from the main content. You see, how you link, what kind of site is the link coming from and where the link is placed are all important variables into the whole “How To Rank #1 in Google” equation.

In no way I’m saying that there is no benefit in placing your link in the resource box…What I’m trying to say is that it would be better for the links to be inside the body content than at the bottom of each article where the resource box is usually placed. The words before and after of the link are also another important factor in the equation. The more words that are relevant to your site content the better for you.

The problem with the “Conventional” way of doing article marketing is that you don’t have a lot of space in the author resource box to write a good piece of content that the search engines can chew upon.

So now the question is: what can you do to fix this issues?

How Quickly Should You Build Back Links?

Ok, I think I’m getting to the end of this review. The last thing I would like to point out is how fast do you want to build backlinks to your site without being sanboxed by Google.

Well, after my new blog wasa sanboxed this month, I went ahead and did some research to find out how fast you should build backlinks and this is what I found:

The older your website and the higher your page rank, the more back links you can build.

If you have a brand new website like I do, I would recommend you not to build more than 300 links in one month or you might run the chance of being sanboxed. Look at this graph… Notice how the guys in position #3, #6, #8, #11, and #20 don’t have more than 226 back links total to their sites. Notice how all of the websites in positions #3, #6, #8, #11, and #20 are new websites with less than 300 backlinks but they were not sanboxed like I was.
