Where did Google’s Wonderwheel go?

Yesterday I was trying to find some relevant keywords (LSI Keywords) to support the main keyword for one of my new sites so that I could rank high in the search engines only to discover that I was no longer able to see Google’s Wonderwheel.

Google’s Wonderwheel is an excellent tool because through Google’s Wonderwheel , Google is telling you which keywords are relevant to your main keyword so instead of spamming your main keyword and suffering ranking penalties by repeating your main keyword too many times, you do the smart thing and stuff  your content with related searches given you by Google’s Wonderwheel instead.

So, how can you find Google’s Wonderwheel?

In an attempt to save time when you do a search in Google, it has just been introduced a new search enhancement named “Google Instant.”  Google instant allows Google’s users to see the most relevant search results as the user types in the search term. This will allow the users to see the most relevant search results even if they have not finish typing the search term. This is a pretty cool new feature introduced by Google but for some reason if you have “Google Instant” on, you will not be able to see the “Google’s Wonderwheel” link when you click on the “More  Search tools” link at the left column of  Google’s result page.

How to turn Google’s Wondewheel back on

If you want to be able to see Google’s Wonderwheel, you will have to disable Google’s new feature “Google Instant.” To do this, click on “Search Settings” link located at the top right hand corner of Google’s homepage:

Then, disable “Google Instant” by checking the radio button that says “Do not use Google Instant”

Finally, Click on the “Save Preferences” button and you should be ready to go.

To check if Google’s Wonderwheel is enabled already, do another search in Google and press enter.

Go head and click on the “More Search Tools” link located in the left column of Google’s organic results.

You should be able to see “Wonder Wheel” link.

In today’s ever changing SEO climate it takes more than on-page optimization (Page Title, Description Meta Tag, H1 Tags, Keyword Density, etc) in order to dominate the search engines. Before it used to be as easy as stuffing a website with the same keyword in order to gain quick SEO rankings… but today, it takes a little bit more than just on-page optimization to dominate the search engines.

It’s being said that 30% of your SEO ranking comes from on-page optimization and 70% comes from off-page optimization which is having great quality backlinks pointing to your site. Some people say that the more backlinks you have pointing to your site is the best way you attain high rankings, but that’s not necessary truth nowadays.
Google has been placing more emphasis in the quality of the backlink more than the quantity.

Free link directories has been a cost effective way of getting one way backlinks to your site but will submitting your website to free link directories improve your search engine ranking in today’s seo climate? I decided to do a little test and I think you will like the results.

Are backlinks from Free Link Directories still effective to boost your search engine ranking?

In order to answer this question, I decided to do a little test. In my test, I ordered a manual submission of one of my blogs www.funnyweddingtoastsblogs.com to 1000 free link directories. I hired a freelancer whom I found in the warrior forum to do the manual submission for me. He started doing the manual submissions on August 3rd, 2010 and it took him a little less than a week to complete the job.

My Search engine position on August 3rd,2010 was # 15 in Google for the keyword "Funny Wedding Toasts."

A little bit after a month, I notice a little boost in my search engine ranking. I went from being #15 in Google to being #8.

Conclusions

So as you can see from my little case study, building backlinks from free link directories could be benefit your search engine ranking but you might not see immediate results. In my case it took a little bit over a month to see a boost.

I would not recommend ordering 1,000+ directory submissions if you have a new site as this might cause your website from being "Sandboxed". You can read a little bit more avoiding Google’s Sandbox by clicking here.

What is Google Supremacy?

Google Supremacy is the newest SEO guide developed by SEO superstar Craig Dawber. Google Supremacy’s main goal is to assist anybody – either experienced or inexperienced – create a residual monthly income of at least $1293.34 per day by teaching you how to to rank high in the top organic results of powerful search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc.

One of the best features that I personally like about Google Supremacy is the 17 step by step training videos that come with it that teaches you how to create the SEO friendly optimized blogs. I like the simplicity of how Craig teaches you in his videos to create the blogs in a very easy to follow way. How many times have you bought an SEO course that tells you that you need to set up a blog but they don’t guide you through the mechanics on how to do it. This is a crucial part for many people who is barely getting started in the internet marketing arena.

Second, Google Supremacy will show you how to literally dominate the search engines by implementing the right back linking strategy. Creating quality backlinks to your site (off page optimization) is as important or as doing proper on-page optimization… But you see… from personal experience I can tell you that "NOT ALL backlinks are created equal.

There are many factors that determine what is and what is not a good backlink. Backlinking in itself it’s an endless subject that I would not be able to cover in this Google Supremacy Review but I can tell you this:

A backlink coming from a Squidoo (Web 2.0 Property with a Google page rank of 8 and Alexa rank of 235) page that is talking about the same subject of your blog is more effective than creating 10 or even 100 backlinks from directory submission site or from doing blog commenting on blogs that are totally unrelated to the topic or niche of your blog.

Google Supremacy introduces you to what Craig Dawber calls the Phantom Link Wheel. The Phantom Link Wheels is Craig’s secret to ranking high in the search engines. A phantom link wheel uses the power of established Web 2.0 websites like Squidoo, Wetpaint, Yola, Blogger, etc to give your website a higher ranking by direct linking (on-way) to your site. This is what you can call the "Grand Daddy" of a good quality backlink…and here is why:

First of all, the page rank of those sites (Squidoo = PR8, Wetpaint = PR7, Yola = PR7) is what you would consider a relatively high page rank (being 10 the best of the best). A link coming from a PR8 or PR7 website is 100 times more effective than a backlink coming from a PR0 or PR1 site… This is just the way how Google’s algorithm does its ranking stuff.

And the content that you will be submitted could be the same as your site as long as you "Spin" or "Rewrite" the content… and before I forget, if you don’t have a spinning software, Google Supremacy will recommend you a website where you can spin your content for free.

Google Supremacy consists of the following parts:

1- Google Supremacy Manual or E-Book. This is the core of the Google Supremacy product. The Google supremacy manual is a 132 page e-book jam packed with a lot of information that teaches about Search Engine Optimization, how to do proper keyword research, how to optimize your site for success, how to choose the right domain name for your website, link wheel supremacy and how to outsource most of the tasks so that you can save a lot of time for pennies on the dollar.

2- 17 Step by Step (10 to 15 min) Video Tutorials that will take you by the hand to show you how to easily create a WordPress blog (even if you have no knowledge of HTML, CSS or PHP.) The videos are delivered in WMV format that you can play in pretty much any computer. Believe me when I tell you: I’ve purchased internet marketing products that leaves you in the limbo. You just don’t know where to start. Well, that’s not the case with Google Supremacy!

4- 5 Ready Made WordPress Theme Templates. Just in case you did not know where to get started, Google Supremacy comes with 5 ready to go WordPress theme templates. Simply upload them to your website and that’s it. There is no need to hire a webmaster to make you a nice looking wordpress theme.

Google Supremacy Cons

Ok… now lets talk about the negative points of Google Supremacy:

1- As with any SEO program, doing SEO requires a lot of patience. Why do I say that doing SEO requires patience? When you do SEO, it could take just a little bit of time before you see things happening. For example, let’s say that you created your website today! … Google can take up to a week to find and index your new site so that you can track down your initial Search Engine Position. The same applies to the new pages you will be creating in some of the WEB 2.0 properties like Squidoo. It could take some time for the Google spiders to find your new pages. This is why I say that doing SEO required you be just have a little bit of patience but that does not mean that things are not happening and that the Google Supremacy System doesn’t work.

2- Doing SEO websites could take a whole lot of time. Let me be honest with you. Creating a highly optimized website can take you a whole lot of time if you don’t know how to do it the right way. I’m not talking about the set up of the blog itself. I’m referring to doing the "writing part" of the Google Supremacy system. A crucial part of the Google Supremacy System success relies on generating good, unique and quality articles that you will be submitting to the Web 2.0 properties when you start creating your phantom link wheels. If you hate writing or if you are unsure about your writing skills, this can literally mess up your minset and chances are you will not continue doing the Google Supremacy System. The solution to this problem is to hire talented ghostwriter to do the writing part for you at a very low cost.

Google Supremacy Pros

1- Effective and FREE Keyword Research. One of the things that I really love about Craig Dawber’s Google Supremacy guide is how he teaches to do proper keyword research. Doing proper keyword research constitutes in my opinion about 33.33% of your chances of building a successful website (For my analytical friends, the other 66.66% I would say it’s doing the right on-page and off page SEO). From personal experience I call tell you that if you don’t choose the right keyword from the very beginning, chances are you new website will not rank anywhere… not even in Bing!

So how do you do effective and quick keyword research? Well, Craig introduces in Google Supremacy a great keyword research software that I canl tell you this: it’s so damn good. It was even hard for me to believe to see the results it delivers. I’m not trying to exaggerate things here but this software is probably 100 times better and more effective than software I have personally paid $197.00 for it. And before I forget, the best part about this "secret" software" is that it’s free.

2- Google Supremacy teaches you how to use leverage from authority sites in order to harness "The Google Power." Why do I mean by leveraging from from authority sites in order to do dominate Google? What I’m trying to say is that many times, no matter how well you optimize a website, chances are you might not rank on the first page no matter what. You see, knowing how Google’s algorithm will favor your new site it’s hard to predict. But, the good thing I love about Google Supremacy is that even if your new website does not rank high in the search engines, you still have a good chance of making money by leveraging from established websites that are an authority already.

Part of the Google Supremacy system consists in submitting content to Web 2.0 properties like Squidoo or Ezine Articles. These two websites (just to name two of websites mentioned in the Google Supremacy Manual) are online authorities already so when you submit content to them, chances are they might even rank higher than you but this is ok because Craig will teach you how to link these websites to your new site so that your new site’s ranking improves and starts moving up in the search engines.

I would like to give my final word. I can say that Google Supremacy is a great product. I think that when you buy Google Supremacy you will get your monies worth! I do SEO pretty much all day and even though I have extensive knowledge about SEO, I picked up a couple of good tips from Google Supremacy. Even if you think that you know everything about SEO, there is always something new be learned. That’s why I decided to write this review… because I think Google Supremacy is probably the best SEO product out there.
